About the Author

Ray Harmony has dedicated his life to using the power of music to inspire positive change in the world, which he does through his organisation, Revolution Harmony. He is a British African based in Canada via the USA, and an award-winning music lecturer, author, journalist, composer, performer, producer, runner, running columnist, are you still reading? Ray's education is a unique blend of piano and 'classical' music theory from the Royal Schools of Music (UK), and guitar and 'popular' music theory from Musicians Institute (USA). He also gained his teaching qualification from EHWL College in London. Ray makes music with multiplatinum Grammy winners – Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), and many more – then donates all the proceeds to charity. Ray Harmony believes that music education should be available to everyone for free (i.e. a human right), and not just to those who can afford it. So, please visit his Revolution Harmony website to access hours of free video lessons, which are based on his critically-acclaimed book series, Hack Music Theory.
