About the Book    About the Author

He was forbidden. Uncontrollable. Never to be seen, mentioned, or otherwise talked about. Until the nightmares began. Searing the screams, carnage and death into her skull. Forever.

Before this, Lindsey had a normal life. Somewhat. She had a boyfriend who was acting strange, an ex-boyfriend who has been too flirtatious and a best friend who turned psychic. Once upon a time, the hardest decision Lindsey had to make was who she would take to the upcoming Winter Dance: her boyfriend, Philip, or her ex, Luke. Now, she's not even human. She's an Angel. This book is recommended for 16 years or older due to adult scenes and situations.

Editorial Reviews

A being comes to a wedding and kills the groom then destroys the bride and takes away part of her. When he finally releases her she is pregnant with his child. She has hidden the child and now the child must now learn of her destiny in ANGEL DIARIES, VOLUME 1 by Larissa Hinton. Will she accept what she is told or reject it?ANGEL DIARIES, VOLUME 1 is one of the finest first person point-of-view stories I have read. I was in Lindsey’s shoes the whole book and could feel her frustration when neither her mother nor her best friend, Jia, a psychic, would tell her what they meant when giving her a cryptic comment. They would not answer her questions. I got as angry as Lindsey did. I wanted to know but Larissa Hinton did her world building so well that as Lindsey learned so did I. The point-of-view never wavered. Excellent! We are also given the romantic triangle of Lindsey, current boyfriend Phillip, and ex-boyfriend Luke. She has feelings for both but her feelings for Luke come across loud and strong. I do not know why she keeps Phillip. Well, I do, but I do not want to ruin the story. ANGEL DIARIES, VOLUME 1 is a keeper. I cannot wait for the next installment.
