This is the fifth book in the A Boy Named Zen series of children's books. In this book Zen's parents begin to teach him a simple version of the lovingkindenss meditation before he goes to bed at night. They stress the importance of wanting everyone to be happy, healthy, safe, and at peace.
Jeremiah Olson has always been an unpublished writer. He couldn't get his act together, or had a good case of ADHD, so he never actually finished a book he started writing. When he became a father he wanted to teach his children about Buddhism. Unfortunately he struggled with finding books about Buddhism that he could read to his children. A little voice in his head said, "I could write books about Buddhism for kids around the age of 3." It was a battle to get the first one done and the artwork is less than desired but it is a work in progress. This is the start to his series of children's books about Buddhism. This is just an introduction. A second book about A boy named Zen's experiences with Karma is also available and a third book entitled Zen Learns to Walk With Grandpa Confucius is set to be released in June of 2015.
Jeremiah Lee Olson really believes this is his best book to date. He is so excited to read it to his children and really hopes you enjoy reading it with your children too.
