Godcall is a chapbook with a intriguing mix of complementary visual and written art. Both are exploratory, experimental, both asking and answering the questions of a young adult working her way through the miry clay of spiritual commitment and the challenge of living in this world. Janessa's poetry feels like a tumbling stream of consciousness sometimes, a incessant current of thought that grabs the reader and carries them racing toward the conclusion or, often, to more questions. But you never feel as if you're drowning. - Desiree Seebaran (writer)
