What if terrorists used American children as weapons of mass destruction? It's already started. When several young Somali men disappeared from Minneapolis, law enforcement thought they had been recruited to fight in Somalia. Instead, a far more sinister plot was underway that threatened thousands of people. A local defense lawyer, Zehra Henning, takes on the case of a terrorist accused of murdering one of the young men who returned to Minneapolis. As she investigates her case in preparation for trial, Zehra becomes entangled in the plot and is threatened herself. It becomes a race against time and the terrorists for her to save hundreds of children and the community.
When I was 10 years old, I used to spend Christmas vacation with my grandmother. One late winter's night, she gave me a copy of The Hound of the Baskervilles about Sherlock Holmes. I loved it and was hooked on mysteries. Today, I've written six novels and a collection of my short stories.
I worked as a prosecutor and defense lawyer for 30+ years so some of my stories take place in the courtroom and I give people a "behind the scenes" look at the funny, tragic, and mysterious things that occur there. I also have a series of books about an investigator who travels the world solving mysteries.
When I read I like to learn factual things. So, in my books I do a ton of research that I put into the stories to educate readers also.
I have been married for 38 years, have two adult children, and play the saxophone in a jazz group and a rock band.
