About the Book    About the Author

This book is about the possible effects that can occur in one’s life when born or raised in a dysfunctional environment. An environment that doesn't offer a blueprint or structured foundation that is needed to be successful in a dominating world. Although success is very attainable, one must be able to survive, strive and thrive to obtain it. This book is about choices and consequences. It’s about taking ownership; removing the mask and literally owning your mess. To some, this book will be a mirror and to others, it will be a reflection... reflecting back on unresolved issues, bringing them to the forefront and forcing a healthy intimate confrontation. To some this book will be a conviction, to others it will bring hope. To some, it will be a revelation and a sweet comfort in knowing that you were not the only one. Overall this book is a selfless, honest, heartfelt, well-penned book of intense drama and inspiration. I stand naked and unashamed which for me, was the first step in my healing. ROCHELLE RICHEY

Editorial Reviews

Story line: it is a memoir of the author who is born to a dysfunctional family. Dad was a drunkard, wife beater, drug addict and gambler. Mom never had the courage to leave him and start over. Rochelle decides that she wants something better out of life but she keeps tumbling down every time. Fallen into bad friend circle, the men in her life do not help her much. The story that the author has to tell is indeed very interesting. The good thing about the book is that it does not end on a sad note. She tells you how she has forgiven and moved on. The courage of the author is truly inspiring.

Concept: the concept is not very different but very interesting. The author has chosen to tell her story and she has held no bar. I am sure a lot of people who read non-fiction are going to like this.

Overall: the book is definitely a good read it is a good read for anyone who is dealing with a troubled life and needs some inspiration
