All of us dream of creating. Whether writing a novel, painting a portrait, crafting a tune, penning a poem, or cooking a meal.
The challenge is turning our dreams into reality.
In The Art of Creating, Paul Perkins shares the ten most important lessons to becoming a productive and prolific creator. From the simple—you are a creator—to the difficult—creator’s bypass resistance—he covers all the bases, speaking sometimes painful truth about how to break free from what holds you back and unleash your creative potential.
With concrete steps, how-to instructions, and outside-the-box ideas, this book gives you the tools necessary to create like you’ve always dreamed. Perhaps even more significant, it encourages you to embrace your true identity as a creator.
Paul Perkins grew up outside of Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Oregon State University, he moved to Washington, DC, and worked in the U.S. Senate and then at the White House. Paul is now an attorney in Washington, DC, where he lives with his wife and daughter. His writing has been featured at The Huffington Post, Boundless, and RELEVANT. His first book, Unexpected Journeys, was published by Whitaker House in May 2016.
