About the Author

I fell in love with words at a very young age. The first book I memorized word for word was Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham". I had my mother's friends convinced I could actually read. By the time I was 4, I had been assigned the task of "storytime" during naptime at my preschool, after professing that I could do it better. I used to think this was an exaggeration of my mother's imagination until I returned at a much older age to hear my teachers confirm my mother's claim. Each of them said that I would give my own unique accounting of classic fables such as Goldielocks and the Three Bears. I have been weaving storylines, characters and plots together ever since. I have a profound affinity for teaching and encouraging other aspiring writers like myself by running various online workshops and free writing seminars.

I am excited to release my very first collection of short stories this Fall/Winter. You are invited to join me on this journey. I would love for us to experience this aspect of my creative life together. This new book is a living collection of fictional short stories that depict snippets of real life. Mo'Kha Uzuri
