Mystery writer Violet Carsten has spent most of her life behind the pages of a book, either reading one or writing one. When she inherits a house in the city she ends up getting much more than she bargained for! Through some amazing coffee, a real life mystery, an overprotective older brother, and a little bit of pepper spray, she finds the man of her dreams. Will she take a chance on love or will old fears keep her heart locked up tight?
Christina Li, BA, MA, is a wife, mother of five, journalist, and author. From home-schooling to BibleQuizzing, she has seen first hand the miraculous that happens when you say 'yes' to God.
She and her family live in the NorthWest suburbs of Chicago, serving on the ministerial staff of The Life Church. Besides writing, Christina LOVES a great cup of coffee, fresh-roasted by her wonderful husband.
She writes the fiction she likes to read, inspirational mystery/romance with a generous sprinkling of humor. Her non-fiction is written with the encouragement and leading from the Lord she herself has experienced (and still does!) She hopes her readers are entertained and ministered to by her simple, honest style.
This book is wonderful. It's hilarious, a dab of romance, mystery but includes dealing with issues that life throws our way. Just sharing a bit with a friend she had to know title and author so she could get it. Definitely a book that Christian believers and unbelievers would love. I can't wait until the next one comes out. Christina Li has done an awesome job writing this book. And I haven't even finished the book and I'm this excited! Hurry Christina and publish the next one! --Carol G.
Just finished Violet Miracle because I couldn't put down my Kindle down until I got to the end of the story! Author Christina Li did a fantastic creating heroine Violet Carsten and the entire Givens family - you definitely want to read more about them including maybe a story sbout Ivy and Will. Looking forward to more stories from this talented writer! P.S. As a coffee fan, the backdrop of a coffee shop was perfect! --DiAnn Fieldson
Violet Miracle was a very great read, from beginning to end. There was something so familiar about Violet!!! I suppose (without giving too much away), there's a little of Violet in all of us. I can say, like Violet, I have been through losing loved ones, afraid of starting over and I too fight the inevitable. This book not only gave me an opportunity to look at my life a little deeper, but depend on God all the more! I loved it! I stayed up late reading chapter after chapter, unable to put it down whenever I could steal a moment! I truly recommend this book to anyone who not only enjoys a book that can hold you from start to finish and if you enjoy coffee, sipping it all while reading gives you a closer bond:) LOVED IT!!!!!! --VJC
